The number of death on the side of the protesters has increased from 7 to 14 as of the report today ( source ). Both sides were blaming each other for firing the first to shots who triggered the riot ( source ). A U.S. congressional delegation will arrive in Manila on Friday to discuss economic, political and security issues with Philippine officials, according to a statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Manila on Wednesday. U.S. Congressman Henry Hyde, Chairman of the House International Relations Committee, will lead the delegation of five representatives from the U.S. Congress to visit the Philippines from August 11 to 13, the statement said.
