"Ethnic Tourism" Offered In Southern Philippines
The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao in southern Philippines is set to launch a five-year "ethnic tourism" program to enhance the region's economy and help address the problem of poverty that is seen as the main cause of Muslim rebellion in the country.
ARMM Tourism Secretary Makakuna Pangandaman unveiled the program Wednesday and said it will include the development of an "Islamic tourism peace zones" into cultural and inter-faith centers.
