Newscrew killed in Philippines accident

The bodies of three members of an ABC-5 news team killed in the Philippines have been flown by military helicopter to Manila.

Anchor/reporter Hazel Richeta and her crew died when their van collided with a passenger bus late Sunday afternoon, the Manila Times reports.

The trio was on its way back from covering the Mayon Volcano when the accident occurred

A U.S. congressional delegation will arrive in Manila on Friday to discuss economic, political and security issues with Philippine officials, according to a statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Manila on Wednesday.
