Reyes briefs Eastern Visayans on Green Philippines Highway project

Secretary Angelo Reyes of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources is the guest of honor in yesterday’s briefing and presentation of the Green Philippine Highways Project and Green Army at the Tacloban City Convention Center.

A formal program scheduled at 9:00 o’clock in the morning, participated in by the various stakeholders, the academe, various government agencies, local government officials and non-government organizations.

U.S. congressional delegation to visit Philippines

A U.S. congressional delegation will arrive in Manila on Friday to discuss economic, political and security issues with Philippine officials, according to a statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Manila on Wednesday. U.S. Congressman Henry Hyde, Chairman of the House International Relations Committee, will lead the delegation of five representatives from the U.S. Congress to visit the Philippines from August 11 to 13, the statement said.
